LiveNeutral purchases emissions credits for all of its offsets through the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX). CCX is North America’s only and the world’s first global marketplace for integrating voluntary yet legally binding emissions reductions with emissions trading and offsets for all six greenhouse gases. Its 200+ members include companies such as AEP, IBM, and DuPont and cities such as Chicago, IL, Oakland, CA, and Aspen, CO.

LiveNeutral purchases emissions credits through the Chicago Climate Exchange because of the demonstrated effectiveness of its members in reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Members achieve these reductions, and generate carbon credits, through a variety of innovative projects and practices, but all the credits they generate represent real and permanent reductions in the amount of GHG entering the atmosphere.

In addition to these member reduction credits, the CCX includes a full portfolio of Offset Projects. CCX issues tradable Carbon Financial Instrument(CFI) contracts to owners or aggregators of eligible projectson the basis of sequestration, destruction or displacement of GHG emissions.
